Week 3
What another great week! The students are starting to get into the swing of things. The transitions can be challenging at first, but we are all showing great improvements. This was our last week of cooperative games. Each class really showed their strengths in working together to accomplish a goal. We were all surrounded by positives! Please enjoy some of the PE pictures below!
K-2nd
We continued to work on spacial awareness and locomotor movements this week as well as cooperative games. We introduced a number of animal movements such as the bear walk, crab walk, kangaroo hop, and frog bounce! Teamwork was key in many of the activities we did such as Landminds and Musical Shapes! Communication, partnership, and positive attitudes were all encouraged!
3rd-4th
We really focused on communication and teamwork activities. We learned a couple more complex locomotor skills such as the three-legged dog and grapevine. Please ask your students to show you each of the activities this weekend! The students really had to talk to each other and find a common goal while participating in Houdini Hoops and Knots. Throwing in many challenges made them have to be quick on their feet, and ask questions. It was great to see all of their minds get challenged and their faces light up when they were successful.
5th-8th
What a great day to run the mile! The students all came to class prepared and excited to get outside and show me how much they have grown in running! It was great to see so many students excited to run! We had some great mile times today from all of our students. They worked hard and deserve a nice relaxing night! Great job Middle School!
